Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Henry misses a one on one that Arsenal henry would have buried, Ineista gets Henry and plays the ball right every time.

Iniesta is coming into own this season, wonder if deco will get back in.

The way he plays it too him, lets henry run off the shoulder off the CB then plays it to him at pace. They play well together is a better way of putting it but if you watch them Ineista gets henry and feeds him right Ronnie and Messi dont.

Xavi kinda does but is too deep to get the ball to henry on preferred foot at pace

I see what you mean. Iniesta was always going to be a star, it was just a matter of when.

Ronnie needs a move now. He got stale at PSG, he left and became a star again. He should move and get revitalised.

    2-0 Getafe

Well worth their win, barca were clueless and Ronnie and Messi both subbed. getafe funnelled them into the middle and lack of width cost barca.

Zambrotta sent off didnt help either.

As long as real keep winning away cant see anyone challenging them for the league.

Barça were so poor tonight and haven't played particularly well away from home all season. I'm sick of Ronnie tbh and would be very surprised to see him at Barça next season. Off to Milan or Chelsea with him! Barça are really missing Eto'o and Deco and the sooner they get back fit the better.

I think it's too early to write off Barça's chances in the league, especially with the way La Liga is, but they really need to start picking results up on the road. Madrid will go 4 points clear tomorrow, but they'll have their own slip ups along the way aswell. :)

    Iniesta or Deco?

When Ronnie goes henry out left?

Tbh the 2nd one makes sense, dunno about the 1st suppose it depends on wheter Toure can handle being the lone ball getter as Iniesta puts in a bit of work.

If Deco was fit, I'd play him in the centre of midfield with Xavi and Toure. I'd drop Ronaldinho and move Iniesta out left, where he was on fire earlier in the season and Barça were playing some great football.

A fully fit squad will see Deco and Iniesta fighting it out for the 3rd spot in midifeld (Toure and Xavi are shoe ins). I'd have Eto'o up top and Henry on the left, as you mentioned. It's up to Ronnie to get himself right and earn his place in the team. The likelihood of Barça ever having a fully fit squad is slim though! :(

But that doesn't fit into Sky's model of alternating between Barcelona and Real Madrid matches!

Villarreal match is gonna be quality, pity it's not on. Any excuse to watch Rossi in action! :)

But I checked last week and it said Villareal vs Sevilla was on. What did they change it for. They'll probally show it anyway. They never have just a single match on for 3 hours (19.00 -22.00) so maybe they'll show the second half or something.

Good spot hope they show it, sevilla hitting form but still not great away in the league.

Real Mallorca should be fun could go 5-0 either way

Madrid Mallorca match delayed coverage on Sky at the moment. 2-1 Madrid after 20 mins with plenty of chances for both teams.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,346 ✭✭✭✭KdjaCL

Its a bit mad alright, neither side look capable of defending anything.

What the hell are Sky playing at with this delayed coverage lark ?
I pay enough bloody money to them each month to expect live matches.
They could easily have shown both matches live tonight Real Madrid at 6pm and Villareal at 8pm there is plenty of room on the schedule .
    Baffling.

    Take it out!!!!

Varela makes it 2-2 with a screamer.

match is delayed due to andy grays show usually.

It's a pain in the hole. Delayed coverage ruins the game! :(

Decent game Madrid are awful at the back but impressive going forward.

Yip,quality game but Heinze is absolutely rubbish.
How he gets his place on that team is baffling,he is appaling.
Mallorca are a classy counter attacking side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,096 ✭✭✭An Citeog

The vast majority of teams try to play good attacking football in Spain. Metzelder has been far better than Heinze this season but the Madrid defence is fairly dodgy. Marcelo might as well play as a left winger. Sergio Ramos is badly missed aswell tonight.

I couldn't help seeing the final score. My homepage is set as El Pais and I opened it without realising. :(

Maybe they should give Jamie Redknapp his own show with all this free time. I don't think we see enough of him on Sky! ;)
