Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do not use McAfee. You cannot delete it from your computer once you install it, and there are much better, and free, antivirus programs out there.

Nod32 is a great antivirus, very easy on the RAM, and has a nice and simple interface. You'll need a seperate firewall program though....

Never buy an anti-virus progam. Use free ones like Avast and AntiVir.

Agree get rid of that crap McAfee, and put in a free antivirus like avg,nod32 or Avast, although Avast is a bit of a resource hog imo...

Get a few free spyware programs too like spybot search and destroy and a decent firewall like comodo or outpost...

Spend your hard earned on something nice, not crap like norton,McAfee etc

Kaspersky works very well with vista ,no cpu usage and it works in the backround silently.:)

Zonealarm have a free firewall for vista ,i think it's listed under personal usage.

Here ,I hope this link works http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?dc=34std&ctry=IE&lang=en

I wouldn't waste my money paying for Anti-Virus software, AVG works great and it's free, and free updates daily. I've never used Avast, but that seems to get good reviews too

Zonealarm - piece o' crap. Hogs the Cpu and Ram. Crashes a lot. Try "Look n' Stop". Sounds lame, but it actually scores pretty high on firewall comparison tests. Beats the **** out of zone alarm anyways.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that nod32 antivirus actually costs money! Avast is a good free program, but for extra features, and professional feel, I would go for nod32. Resarch all these on google. Don't just go on these posts.
    Kaspersky

This is another good antivirus system I would recommend.

I have tried nearly every single program out there. I only use the most powerful defense i can find, because I often visit websites that are absolutely DRENCHED in viruses. NO NOT PORNO SITES!!!! Warez sites etc.

Have Bit Defender myself. It's also one of the few I've found that has good 64bit support, if you go down that route.

I'm using AVG free on Vista, no problems.

AVG FREE i find to be the best, being using it for long time without any problems, just make sure you use some spyware progs as well mate, they can save your ass big time, and also run a prog called crap cleaner every couple of weeks and defrag after you have run it ! will keep ur machine in tip top shape !

Avg is reliable, but I jumped on the chance to purchase kaspersky for another machine, a machine I was using AVG on.

I've been using kaspersky since may and it's the only anti-virus software ,that I actually forget I have. I have an avira subscription aswell which is not bad either.

Avg is a little slow and its scanning is a grinder.
