Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, I'm looking to get a cut and colour done anywhere in the city centre really, that would look good and not cost the earth (I'm a student!!).. So if anyone has any suggestions, it'd be great. Cheers! :)

If you're living near where you go to college, I'd suggest looking for hairdressers nearby i.e. Drumcondra, Donnybrook, or Ranelagh or whatever. These places often have hairdressers with reasonable rates compared to city centre.

Or else you could try one of the many Peter Marks salons near the city centre who do student rates between Monday and Thursday evenings.

I go to college in the city centre, live a bit out.. may just try Peter Marks on Grafton St maybe.. not a fan of the Stephen's Green one though, but I've heard good things about this one.. fingers crossed!

Don't know if this counts as shilling - really hope not. My cousin has a small salon in Temple Bar, and the girl there specialises in colour - Orla. I've had her cut my hair, and she's really good (better than my cousin, truth be told ;)) but I don't get my hair coloured so I can't speak for that.

I don't think they're too pricey, and I think they might have student rates. The salon is called The Room, and it's downstairs in the same place Cafe Erie.

Can't offer any other recommendations, as I only go there now. Sorry :/

If you've a bit of time to spare try the Lunatice fringe academy on Grafton St or the Toni and Guy academy on South William St

The Peter Marks in the suburbs are generally cheaper than the ones in town.
