Can we stick to the topic here please.

If anyone wants to wander down through the realms of yesteryear then by all means start a new thread but things like fish & chips from Charlie McGees or Harry McNultys are a no no.

    Muffler,

What exactly do you mean , If I start a New Thread called 'Donegal Memories would a mention of Harry McNultys still be a no no, if so it would NOT be worth starting ?..

Daniels popularity summed up in two words, but you wouldn't be saying that if you were 80yr and had a blue rinse.;)

If you had tuppence you would be rich indeed. ;)
But more importantly whats this about daniels "package". Surely the goalposts are being changed of the thread here..... Daniels package is the best export that Donegal has. (especially in Britain) When alot of people think of Donegal its just what they think of!

No one mentioned Doolittles - exporting premade sandwiches the length of Ireland, or so they say. (The gloss has worn off, I think, and I've heard the working conditions in the sandwich factories aren't the best, though).

Stoneworks from McMonagle's of Mountcharles - now gracing the entry and exits of the Port Tunnel in the big smoke. Impressive. But again, I hear the working conditions are tough.

And let's not forget Urlar Flooring products of Donegal Town - they've laid floors all over Ireland but also for British royalty and various sheik types in the middle east.

Seriously though, Football Special - what is that exactly - a beer?

Got a floor from Urlar. If I'd known they moved in such high circles I'd have paid them more, and maybe even gave them tea in the mugs without the chips:D
