A PRSA is basically like a personal pension. You pay into it and build up a fund and at retirement you can use it to buy an annuity which will provide you with an annual income.

The difference between a PRSA & other pensions is that they are more flexible as in that you can continue with it whether you are in employment or not. They also have to have a very clear charging structure
