Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think the times are changing for the better, regarding food. People are beginning to look beyond microwaveable meals and more towards the real thing. Organic veg are becoming more and more popular, and I hate to say it, but some of it is thanks to the likes of T.V chefs like Ramsey and Oliver. They offer watchable programmes that make ordinary slobs like me want to toss out the frozen pizza, and stock up on fresh stuff. I think it's great that heaps of people won't stand for shit food anymore.
I know ready made frozen meals will always be popular with many, especially students and teenagers, but I think it's great that cooking has become cool again. Hurrah for proper food :D

    You are right, of course.

    I never buy frozen meals.

What I do is spend the odd Saturday, say one in three, preparing a good load of meals, and freeze them for consumption during the week when I get in from work.

I mostly bring my own lunches to work with me too.

Frozen meals are manky anyway. They never taste NEARLY as good as the real thing.

Sometimes you just have to have em.

The frozen curries (tikka massala, baltic, korma and jalfrezi) in lildl are big and better than many from Indian restaurants in Dublin. Their frozen pepperoni pizzas are hard to beat too and I'd never usually touch a frozen pizza.

However, normally I enjoy cooking and do so whenever poss.

If you're talking about shop-bought ones, yes, but I personally feel that some things actually improve with keeping ... stews and curries especially.

    Yeah, I mean shop-bought ones.

I do buy the odd frozen pizza now that I think of it, but I don't really like pizza so it's not a regular thing.
