Hi everyone, it appears that something got screwed up a bit in the mods forum and instead of banning me they gave me this place to look after. I think the forum has started off very nicely and hopefully will be the template for any future community forums that may be created, so keep up the good work.

Oh, and please be nice to me, I'm only new in the job!

Kinda ironic that this comes from someone who was barred from another pub.

LOL :D So it depends on who you argue/fight with in the pub as to whether it's acceptable or not?

Thanks ciaran, although I was told specifically that I wasn't to listen to you ;)

Never been in it myself, but it was the first pub that sprung to mind for ease of access.

I know we're fast approaching the stage where people are getting booked up for Friday and Saturday nights coming up to Christmas, but sure we'll give it a lash and see what happens. I'll open a new thread and throw a poll onto it with alternative dates for people and if there's enough takers for any particular date we'll see if we can arrange something for January.

who is to say you cant come back for one night anyway,i have never been to one before ...is it not strange meeting up for beers with people you have never met before? i would say it could be awkward

Of course you can, especially seeing as you were one of the people who promoted the forum all along before we got it.

I've only ever been to one beers (although the BGRH beers are on tonight, so that'll be two) and yeah, it is a little strange, but the people on Boards are very friendly and welcoming in real life (or at least the ones I mete were) so you get past the strangeness fairly quickly.

Haha, I suppose I could, depends where it is though. I'm not going near the majority of pubs in Dublin 15!
