    Hi all - just writing to let you know about The Winding Stair. If you like dark, challenging, earthy and magical music, you will certainly dig us.

    Strange, compelling music isnt exactly overflowing in Ireland at the moment. The Winding Stair however should interest many of you who have an interest in Tori Amos, David Sylvian, Cocteau Twins, All About Eve and even... wait for it... Clannad and Pentangle. Hell, even you crazy alt-Americana lovers.

    We're two guys and two girls from Belfast - cello, guitar, violin and vocal. We played Glastonbury this year, supported Martha Wainwright, Mr Hudson & The Library, Duke Special, Foy Vance John Renbourn and countless others.

    Our debut album 'Finistere' is out now, and we're going to be hitting the Republic to get it to you.
