Tragically Eventfull Day For The RAF Today.

An RAF Tornado has landed back at marham with structural after the RIO/WSO ejected no chute seen,

ROAR 51 flight (F15E's) went looking for the backseater.

A USAFE HH-60 went up for SAR if needed. Also Rescue 125 ( RAF Sea King from Wattisham ) & 128 ( from RAF Leconfield ) Were launched.

The callsign was "TARNISH 20" Apparently he ejected, but no 'chute was seen!
The ejection seat was located found [Kinloss Rescue on 5.680] although no word on missing person.

Tarnish 20 would be a Warton based Civvy/Mil Training Tornado GR4.

Word on Scotmil is that the Tornado fleet is grounded after the incident today. Both F3's and GR versions
One of the rescue helicopters also went U/S at the scene.

Body of RIO/WSO was located but pronounced dead.

    Sad day indeed.

    RIP.
    :(
