A lot of guys I know blend the oats and drink them in their protein shake.

If your looking for a way to ease into the whole porrige bonanza then I'd suggest mixing dry oatflakes with some dried fruit or seeds and heating them in a pan until slightly toasty (or buy a Dorset Cereals type porrige mix) then mix a bit of fruit, yogurt and lots of toasty cereal crunch...
    Making myself hungry

The other thing I absolutely love is stew some apple, with nutmeg, ginger and or mixed spice, until really golden and sticky and juicy. Microwave your porrige until almost done, then add the apple and finish it off. Leave it cool a little and add some milk and it is sheer heaven.
