Mass Effect has been banned in Singapore due to containing 'a scene of lesbian intimacy'.

I presume once that news spreads it'll be sold out everywhere else by the weekend?

    ERSB & BBFC next!

Games are only played by kiddies there so anything with a slightly sexual content should be banned!!!!!

Hah, nah Singapore is pretty much an exception here, they like to ban games from time to time, recently The Darkness and GoW II. We've gotten more graphic sex in games here before (Fahrenheit, anyone?)

I think it's worth noting that at this time gay intercourse is still illegal in Singapore.

I'm not surprised. You can get a ridiculously hefty jail sentence for having any type of pornography in Singapore. I'm not even talking about top shelf material, even something as innocent as a copy of FHM will land you in hot water. Toking a spliff will get you a life sentence. Singapore is the ultimate nanny state. I'll say it will pass the censors elsewhere with no trouble.

i doubt bioware are too fussed tbh as im sure mass effect would have sold 1 copy in singapore, and about 2 million pirated versions anyway :D

This is kind of sad, but I want this game so much more now!:p
The newish trailer on the xbox live marketplace is fantastic, just a shame that I won't be able to make time to play it until after christmas...

    Superb headline.
Does that mean the game is un-banned, or that singapore lifts a ban that had a massive effect on lesbianism there?

[edit] lolz at the video. First time I've seen it. Now I must go as I'm as aroused as a .... um .... dead jellyfish
