 I would have taught the levels of radiation there would be dangerous. Why would anyone want to visit that dam place? It's still an errie place after 20 odd years.

I wish I'd waited to play Cod4... playing Crysis atm and while it is just amazing, I got so used to the one/two shot kill in Cod4.. havin g to empty an entire clip into someone's face to kill them is kind of taking away from the experience.

    still hella fun though

Found a site a while back while bored & curious
twas a biker that went into Chernobyl and documented pic's n stuff of what she found & seen, read through the pages on the bottom
    http://www.kiddofspeed.com/chernobyl-revisited/
some of it is freaky looking from the abandonment, most of it just looks like the outskirts of Belfast ;)

while the place still is radicative and can't support life long term expect made a few animals (earthworms) and planets that have adapted to the enviroment, certain areas can be visited for short periods of time without the level of radition building up in the body to a dangerous level. saying that as stated in game some areas are more toxic then others and the rector it self may not be safe to be near for 500-1000 years. major problem they are having at the mo there is the concrete cap they place on the recters is degrading thus increasing the chance of polutates entering the atmosphere and water table.

Only 56 people died directly from the disaster (47 of which were accident workers) the area around it is relatively safe, though it is still locked out by the government. There is a good episode of BBC Horizon about it.

aye the kidsofspeed site is good and the radition in the town is high in places , but as hse stated on her site they once tried to bring tourists into the town ,m but it freaked out too many people , single play in that town is a great level though

Jesus just seems so very weird after playing STALKER and seeing these photo's you can put two and two together. Very very creepy indeed a area where time has forgotten and so has everyone else. You'd think ud see more games and movies based on it.
