Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cheap film processing

    Hi all,

My wife and I got married last weekend and as part of the wedding we had put out single-use film cameras on each of the tables at the reception. Each camera has 27 exposures and we now have about 12 cameras that we'd like to get processed. I think this is the camera (in case it matters :) ) http://www.fujifilm.de/prod_analog_qs_info.html?index=20000177.

I'd probably like to get them all developed and get digital copies of the photos so that we can review them before printing. Anyone got any recommendations on a place in the Dublin area that can do this pretty cheaply for us?

    Thanks!

    Cheap means bad quality.
Reasonable prices and very very very good quality is in Shankill Photo Centre. It is FUJI (unfortunately), but quality of their services is more than good.

Congrats on the wedding - welcome to the eh... rather large 'married' club. I'm sorry I don't have any specific advice to offer but a suggestion - i'd suggest that perhaps talk to those that develop the film - the likes of the photo store in the blanchardstown centre or many others (you may have one local to you) and see if they will cut a deal on the basis of volume. Explain that you don't need prints - just a cd and see if they will talk pleasantly about it. Alternatively consider this a bump to anyone here (and there are a few i think) that develop as a hobby - maybe they'd be able to 'cut a deal' ;o) Cheers.

Thanks for the replies guys. I live near Blanchardstown so I might drop in there and see what they can do for me at the Photo Store.

    Thanks!

If you're getting them on a CD make sure they will be high resolution photos (at least 2 megabytes). Some places just give you a thumbnail on the disk which is worthless when trying to print.
