What car would you buy with €6000

Right,here is my situation.I currently have about €6000 to spend on a car,as I'm only 18 I want to keep the engine size to a max of 1.6 but would prefer a 1.4 for insurance reasons. I have been looking at carzone.ie for a while now but can't seem to find the perfect car Any suggestions?

+1 on a 99-01 1.6l Focus.

Have had a couple of these and they really are great cars - good handling, decent spec (Ghia wont be much more than an lx at this stage) and the 1.6 is a wonderful engine.

You could get a nice lower mileage hatch for your 6k, if you look hard enough.

If you find the insurance a bit much (insurance for me was the same on a 1.4/1.6), the 1.4 aint a bad bet either.
