Fauxhawk had it's day?

Haircut time!

My hair is abt 3-4 inches long and due for a cut v.soon, I'm going on hols soon so might get something different done (if I dont like it can grow out over there)

My q is, has the fauxhawk had it's day? I was thinking of giving it a try but dont want to be flogging a dead donkey. If it is whats the options other than the usual scissored shortish all over.

Opinions welcomed.

the fauxhawk is scummy, you only really see it on fred perry jumper wearing, tracksuits tucked into socks type people

you could be a fashion icon depending on where you are going! i dont think its completely had it, i had one until the other day . was fed up with it.

Whats the alternative so or is it back to the humdrum of scissored top and sides.

ps im going to NY so I dont think i'll be some fashong icon going there with a fauxhawk so..

Just let ur hair grow out for now and stay away from any wet-look gels or wax, all the latest fashions seem to involve having hair long at the fringe and sides, but not too long at the back (dont want a mullet!), basically just let it look a little messy and invest in a dry wax like American crew

Went into the Grafton barber yesterday (wed) afternoon and still wasnt decided. So I chickened out and said to the barber, dont take much off the length (i actually showed him how much and i'm talking less than a half inch) and just give it a general tidy

First cut he took was at the centre front of my hair and he took loads off. That was the beginning of the end. and I couldnt stop him. I now look like my communion is next week and my mother has decided the faith of my hair.

I hate it. Lucky enough my hair grows fast as a mo fo so I've roughly 1.5 weeks of crapdom.

I'm nearly wishing I had of pointed at the 6 kids that were waiting with the condom things on their heads getting highlights and fawhawks done and said 'I want that one'
