Did anyone use their AIB online account to transfer money into a business account.

When you are setting up new 3rd party accounts to add money to, it says please ensure it is a personal account.

Has anyone ignored this and transfered money into a business account ?

    Cheers

You can ignore it, if you so choose to.

They warn against it as many businesses require reference/account numbers etc which people don't always put in, and this leads to lost payments and more work for the bank (customer complaints, even though it was their fault).

Should something go wrong, I wouldn't expect a symapthethic hearing ;)

Exactly what they told when I called them,

technically you can do it, its just payment could be lost in a large organisation.

If you transfer money online between two accounts with the same bank is it processed instantly?
