Spotted in Tesco Bray tonight, buy two get one free. Christmas promotion. This was one of my favourite non-bean coffees.

They are also stocking Illy Beans in the tin can but it's expensive at 7.29 for 250Grams.

    Cheers
    Howard

Are you not grinding your own Howard?

You better believe I am!! I was in to get some more of that Munkey Espresso and just noticed the promotion. I'll admit to being tempted, but I didn't bite. Just wanted to pass on the news for anyone that might be interested.

    Cheerio

    Fair play so.

Have you considered roasting at all?

Rossa isn't that nice, i'll stick with my tin of pre ground illy for the moment (had to divert my grinder fund into heating oil)

Before I discovered home roasting or buying freshly roasted beans, I'd
have purchased Illy before Lavazza. I found the pre-ground Lavazza was
a tad too coarse for my espresso machine whereas the Illy was finer and
    produced a better crema.

Considered it, yes. Acted yet, nope. But I can see where you are going!! I must resist. I've never tried roasting and I'm not sure if I'd like the results, plus the missus would kill me for sure if I took up more counter space in the kitchen.

    Cheers

haha, maybe for my Birthday if I'm very lucky.

The i-roast 2 takes up hardly any counter-top space, I was surprised
at how small it is. (It's about the same size as your average kettle -
    my grinder is bigger).

I hear ya, and I've been reading the threads too, so I know all about you lot in here, convincing others to purchase. This place is like a cult :):) It's catching.

My usual monthly Ristretto order of 4 bags arrived the same week as my
iroast, all I'll say is that I have 2 bags from the order still unopened. ;)

(I've gone through 2 kg of green beans since the iroast arrived and I'll be
ordering more green beans and not roasted beans next month).

    Cult?
Cults are bad in my book whereas beans freshly roasted to your own taste
    are anything but :)

They've always had that double pack in my local Tesco don't think it's a one off.
