Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lost phone with 3

    I am with 3 for 18 months now and got an upgrade to the N73 6 months ago. Never had a problem with them.

    Great phone but I lost it yesterday.

    When I rang 3 they agreed that I could get a replacment one once send off them some doco as written on website and pay the €50

    " If your mobile is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged within the first 12 months, we will provide you with a replacement mobile and SIM on a new 12 month contract for a small charge of ?50"

    All grand until they now tell me they have no "refurbished" (ie opened boxes) off the N73 and they can only offer my a 6280 (crap s40 phone) or a motorola V3 (hate motorola)

    Surely if they have no refurbished phones they should replace it with a new one ???

    I cant believe they can give you a much oldfer phone instead of a N73 ???

    you are experiencing 3 customer care. don't take their crap. you bought and N73 and if they have no second hand ones in stock that's not your problem. keep calling them until they give you the phone you bought


    you know that your contract will go back to 12 months when you do this right?

    Yeah,

    I know the support is terrible but other than this its been fine for 18 mths. Works out cheapest for me and the missus on 3 too so easier to stay.

    Will just keep ringing and asking for a manager. Hopefully someone over there can get this sorted.

    Sorry for raising the dead but I lost my phone last week and wonder how you got on.

    3 want me to go to the gardaí and get a crime report incident number or something like that.

    Guard - "So, what did you do to your phone?"
    Me - "Took it round the back, tortured it untill it screamed itself unconscious and then shot it six times."

    @shayser: It took me a couple of attempts to convince the Garda that it was just a general lost property type form that I needed them to sign for me. I think they are too used to signing the insurance forms that other operators have so Three not doing insurance confused them.

    Having to take a new 12 month contract...that's a bit much!
    OP, just buy a phone off eBay and get a replacement sim card from Three!
