manganerd and sillywilly are running around posting links to NSFW (or anywhere else for that matter).

Two noobs acting the muppet. Advise keeping a close eye on, it not nuking them with extreme prejudice.

I had reported the goat thread already - seems like sillywilly took down the offending picture. But manganerd's link is still up.

Myself, Giblet and AlmightyCushion dealt with it as best we could.
Then Vexorg and Ruu stepped in.

We also know where they were posting from and the net is closing in. :)

I didn't do anything. By the time I infracted Nerd, Giblet had him banned all ready. Damn you and your quick trigger finger, I had my hopes up of getting in the league of bástards. :(

Ruu banned him and overruled my ban.

You were still on it for a few brief seconds I'd say.

Insert obvious "Thats what she said" joke of choice here.

Still, nice team effort lads :)

By the way - The Bollox's post at no. 22 quotes Manganerd's post (which has the link) Maybe the quote/link should be taken out too?

I thought I saw your name on some of the infractions.

By the time it went through it was the tenth infraction. The ban goes through on the ninth. Giblet got the ninth.

How would one go about getting some of these infraction allocations for themselves?

    Mods only.

You can always report a post and a mod will then hand out an infraction (if neccessary).

Stuff that's not safe for work in a forum for all things after working hours. Wow, who'd have thought?

So no chance of getting some for myself? I need to keep my bad boy image going.

Then that's their fault. If it's meant for after working hours, then you shouldn't be on it during work. If you see stuff that's not safe for work on After Hours then you deserve what you get.

It's still porn which is against boards rules.

Break a rule in AH and I'll sort you out.

Where in AH does it say that porn is acceptable?

Pissed off that you missed out on the URL's?

There are things that are not porn which are not safe for work.

Edit: No, I'm not pissed off. If I really wanted to see them I could have logged out to view them. I'm just patiently waiting out my ban. Thanks for asking.

    They were posting porn links.
Well I assume they were porn.
Didn't actually check the links myself. The slew of reported posts meant I didn't need to.
Also, one of them had a pic of a disfigured penis in his sig.

Regarding my last comment, I had forgotten about your ban. I wasn't having a dig at you because of that.

I was just speaking in general about NSFW links and not these specific links. If they break the rules then fine, but generally I think people should expect NSFW links in After Hours, as the name implies.

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,061 ✭✭✭✭Terry

I think that five years ago that may have been the case.
However, since broadband has become more accessible and more and more people are using the internet, these things need to be labelled as NSFW and so forth.

There are very few NSFW links in AH that are not marked as such.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,980 ✭✭✭✭Giblet

If they're marked NSFW it's fine and even in the Charter stating as such.

Scamming people like that is a bannable offence.

For reference, it falls under the "being a jerkwad" clause.

Oh I do believe I have some déjà vu coming on...

That would be entrapment sir ;)

After Hours is tagged as "All things non-work related". Not sure where you are getting your P.o.V. from.

I assume that the name After Hours alludes to the relaxation of normal rules rather than the times it should it should be accessed, but you know this and are scraping the bottom of the troll-barrel, as usual.

If people read the charter then they would know the rules. Each froum has its on rules. I wouldnt call after hours a relaxation of boards rules it is just goverened by different rules

My bad...should have been clearer...meant a more relaxed atmosphere for talking about issues, as opposed to say, Humanities or Politics, not a forum where rules don't apply.
