Feel complelled to add two comments:
    1. I know a guy who drove a lotus for a few years - only ever got admiring looks from guys! (Not what he'd hoped for)
    2. Two cars I have driven have any noticable affect on women - a (red) MINI One, my wife's!, I've been stopped by women in car parks wanting to look at it, how much it cost etc - My Golf Plus!, which a large number of 30ish women in work really like (the pet theory is that for this group a "good Dad" is high on the check list and the Golf Plus is very "Family".)

Paddy Fagan, you don't work at Backweston Campus by any chance?!!

Anyway, girls only see blue cars, green cars, red cars.

Just get a red car that looks like a sports car. Make sure its understated, but classy.

Right, I'm swapping with the Missus. I'll be beating them off with a sh1tty stick driving her V50 if the above is true. What says "good dad" better than a Volvo Estate!

(Don't think I'll explaint the reasoning behind the swap with her though :D)

Was thinking that alright. Someone here has a Golf plus and they do get women's attention. Can't for the life of me see why!! But I suppose its the family man image they're looking for, especially the 30 something year olds.

As a woman, I agree - I wouldnt be phased by what car he had.

Work on yourself, not your car. That will make the difference.

Realistically, you dont want to be going out with a woman who is going out with your because of the car you drive.
    End of story!

Title of thread : What car do I need to attract a girl?

I dont think anyone thinks they'd want a bird because of the car they drive, it just gets them looking at them!

Dr. Millah - the name gives it all away - you ARE a sociologist. Where did you buy your title? I'd like to be a professor - well, not really, but I think the women would be impressed if I was called professor (and I had the right car) and maybe could do some of that voodoo stuff.

So far, nobody has told me what cars to avoid except Saab convertibles...

I'll need testimonials from the ladies, but assuming that's in order, how much do you want for it?

By the way, I've been told that red works best - could you get it re-sprayed first?

Have you got a rear view photo of it - I only ask because I'd be interested in a towbar.

In my (perhaps blinkered) opinion these are some of the coolest cars to buy and probably the most favourable motors in womens eyes as well perhaps. And they are cars that are not the most mind numblingly obvious or pretentious models.

    - Fiat 500
    - Mercedes 450 SL
    - Original Mini
    - E28 535i
    - 1970's Carrera RS
    - Jaguar XJS
    - Mark 5 Golf GTI.
