The South Court Hotel is your answer, a stones throw from Dell
I worked in finance (dell) there for 2 years and we had all our meetings and off sites there, lovely hotel

Over that side of the city, you have:

The Clarion (about 3 miles away)
South Court Hotel (very close - walking distance).
Punches Hotel (not sure if thats the name - its the Punches Cross bar - also about 3 miles)

if you're drinking in town head to dolans, curry street is just around the corner then

Go for the quality hotel..much better than the southcourt which has really gone downhill...it's beside the dual carriageway to dell..approx 4 miles away and it's only a 5 min drive to dell.
You're still close enough to town...bout 2 miles so easy to get a cab as well.

Quality Hotel or there's a few good B&Bs within walking distance of the plant

Punches would be my top pick. Half way bewtween Dell plant and city centre.

Quality Hotel is fine actually, but the area it's in is not great. Cab into town and cab home is ideal.

Any people we have down avoid the Southcourt. The rooms and service are crap according to them. The only thing in it's favour is that it is close.

The Quality Hotel is very nice but the surrounding area it is not the quietest especially at night.

The Clarion is probably the best but is usually booked out during the week. Downside is that traffic is crazy in and out the Dock road at peak times.

Though if you can afford the Marriot then that would be my choice. ;)

Clarion, Hilton and Mariott are no where near the dell plant??? Thats a good hour walk from the Clarion (and thats the nearest of the three)!

Look at the question lads 'Hotel near dell in Limerick'... tut tut, your teachers wouldnot be happy with that now. :P

If you want to be "on that side of town" but in the center, Jury's Inn might work for you - it's near the Clarion but cheaper, and may be easier to book as it's not that popular with corporate people.

For walking to Dell, I prefer local B&Bs to the South Court. The one closest to the plant is White House B&B, http://homepage.eircom.net/~whitehousebandb/ . Stayed there myself and it was just great.

if you read the original post in its entirety, and not just the title, you'd have seen that the OP had a car :)
