Serving Notice of EGM

    Hi,

I have a query about serving notice of an egm.

Basically I'd like to know when is notice served or deemed to have been served? If the notice of an egm is dated on the 20th for example but it wasn't posted out until the day after, would the notice be deemed to have been served on the 20th or the 21st?

I know that different companies, associations etc will have different notice periods but just wanted to know peoples opinions.

    Thanks in advance.

EGM served by resolution of the board, so served when resolved i.e., on the 20th if that's when the board met to resolve the EGM decision.

    See: http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/1963/en/act/pub/0033/sec0132.html#zza33y1963s132
    and Section 133.

I am not sure if this is amended or not.

    Cheers Tom,

That's answered my question. It wasn't really important just a question that came up, so I thought I'd bring it here and see if anyone knew.
