Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why are you looking for software you already have? Or are you looking for alternatives?
You use AVG, then use it.
Also remember Vista has a firewall built in. Its even a lot better than the XP one.

    already have ?

Its a brand new laptop, the software listed above is on my old laptop.

So avg is good with vista?

And the firewall, well I prefer to use alternatives !

    Cheers..

Yes already have! You said you use this software on your XP machine, so why not use it on Vista since you are used to it.
Yes AVG works fine with Vista, cant say for certain about zone alarm. I do not believe in software firewalls. If you know what you are doing on a computer you do not even need anti virus... Though better safe than sorry.

You could give Comodo firewall a try, they released a Vista compatible version last week. It's got a HIPS built in too if you want that extra layer of security.

I have a vista laptop, use avast! antivirus, tis the job... I also use the windows firewall, it does what it's supposed to do, and tbh if you have any cop on you'll never need it...
