Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    See the Video sender thread.

It's two units. One goes at DVD/VHS/MMDS/Sky/Lidl etc box and the other at a TV somewhere else in house. The round aerial is the 2.4Ghz FM video with true stereo sound and the rod aerial is reverse 433MHz channel to feed back any Remote controller. The Transmitter has IR LED to feed the source video box and the Receiver has IR sensor for which ever remote you already have.

The NTL Remote of some models may not work as it does not use 32KHz to 44KHz modulation but IRDA format.

Lidl are advertising a Silver Crest wireless transmitter this week.

To receive TV signal on second TV, do you needs to have the main TV switched on.?
Also do you need a VCR at second TV, or does wireless receiver go direct to video in.?

Bought a different version of this a few years ago in Lidl or Aldi, not sure. It was useless. Lots of interference with the signal. If you sat in a certain place in the room the picture would go black and white. Even walking around the house caused interference. Wasn't put off by that and bought a more expensive kit in power-city. Same issues. Ended up running a cable to the other TV.

No main tv does not need to be on
Don't need VCR goes direct into scart output of whatever you want to send

You need to be careful with these type of senders 2.4Ghz thought they are very prone to interference from wireless internet

If you have wireless internet in your house you should get a 5.8Ghz wireless sender and you will have no interference

I bought the silvercrest units in Lidle yesterday. Do I conect the trasmitter via scart out to TV to get signal out and connect the receiver to the target TV to get signal. I assume I can only receive the channel that's on the transmitter end TV.

Probably not good. Last Lidl ones very poor.

Maplin has better ones. They had them on offer just before Christmas.

Would agree. Aldi ones seem better than those from Lidl.
