Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How much are these worth?

    Hi all,

A few years ago I bought a set of turntables/mixer but have never gotten any use out of them (I thought I was going to be the next big DJ; I was wrong), so i was wondering how much they might be worth now if I was to sell them.

They are a pair of Vestax PDX2000 and a Numark EM260 mixer which have been stored in their original boxes for about four years. I also have a pair of Ortofon Concorde Pro cartridges which never been used.

Anyone have any idea of how much I should be asking for them, or where to look for price comparisons?

around 400euro for everythig besides the cartridges id imagine

4years is a long time regardless of being used or not

    Thanks,
I've just been looking through adverts.ie and there are some similar items going for about that price. I've set them up here just to make sure they're working, they power up okay but I'm no expert so I'll have to see if I can get someone to give them a go before I sell them.

I'd take the hand off you for them @ 500 for the decks alone if i was still in the market and I know what the mark up is on them... the 2000's are a fantastic piece of kit and in a hullofalot of ways a much more advanced turntable than technics.

Thats if you can hold off for "the right" price .. and I wouldn't "just" advertise on Adverts though.

i agree with you but they dont have the reputation of technics which is always a problem when selling turntables everyone wants technics regardless of weather they are the best decks for them or not.

They may have more features and stronger torque, but they aren't the industry standard and would not be as reliable as Technics.

My mate has them and I think they're horrible to play on, but that's mainly because I own technics. My point is that if you own these, and then go to play in a club environment, you'll struggle.

i owned stanton str8150s which are technically superior in everyway to technics(as you said though they have not been arond long enough to judge if they are as reliable in the long term) and when i did my first gig on technics it took approximately 5 minutes to get used to the pitch control and "****ty" torque. changing between turntables is not that hard as long as you have the basics down. the problem is i suppose is when people rely on the extra features to get them through and dont perfect the basics
