The course doesn't start till next year as far as I know so the points will be set by the demand next year which I assume will be high enough so expect around 470ish

There's the 2007 points but I don't see Civil Engineering. Does Limerick still offer that course?

As in previous post, the first offering will be for September 2008, so points are not available for the course. They will be determined by demand for the course.

Does that mean anybody wanting to enter this course for 2008 does not need a required amount of points just the minimum entry requirements or will they set a certain amount of points after the leaving cert depending on demand
    ?

More or less. Basically everyone who has applied for the course and meets entry requirements will be listed in order of points in LC. Say there are 20 places on the course, well the top 20 on the list will be offered places. So it really is down to demand, but other engineering courses are usually a good estimate of what to expect points-wise.
