Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Right every time i have a shave i get like spots or itchy kinda rash, nothing serious but its there like. Its on my neck and appears about 2 days afterwards. Its kind of annoying and doesnt really look that good to be honest.
Whats the best way of preventing it.
I do the shave upwards on the neck
    Dab dry instead of rubbing
Using hot water to open pores etc.
    Any advice much appreciated

You may be shaving too close, try different brand of blade.

Happens to me too. Before recent interviews I shaved the night before and put moisturiser on the bits which felt a bit too raw to pre-empt the rash. So moisturiser is yer only man!

Of course, you can't beat a good beard.

perhaps see a dermatologist or seek advice from your chemist. What kinda shaving foam/balm are you using, something like the elave range works well. It doesn't have chemical crap in it.

Have a look at www.bumppatrol.com. Bump patrol hard to get here (it's from the USA) but an equally good product called 'No Bump' can be got.(http://www.dermadoctor.com/product.asp?productid=712&AID=30&WID={9FFA8DB8-B71F-4F15-BDD9-0661304859A7}).

Bit hard to find outside Dublin, but you can get it in Drury Street Hair & Beauty Supply, Drury St, Dublin 2. About €10 for a 100ml bottle, lasts for ages.

Theres a product called Tend that I saw in Knights barbershop in Stephens Green when I was there. It's for "all kinds" of shaving rash. I'll leave it at that.

There is also "Total Shaving Soloution" very good and it worked for me.....and I have very sensitive skin.

Clarins for Men Skin Difference applied nightly makes a massive difference. It also slows down beard growth but certainly allows me to go longer between shaves before my face becomes too itchy.

A good moisturiser (L'oreal) applied after the shave will also help matter.s
