    My November '93 What Car says 102 MPH for the 1.1 (60 bhp). The 1.0 must have been dropped by then.

    You're probably looking at about 90mph, as engines tend to lose power, and in-turn speed, with age and mileage.

    my old 205 1.4l year 88 did about 150km/h, in that speed the whole car was shaking so badly that you could not see nothing from the mirrors:)

    The original 205 1.0 did a tad over 80MPH (134km/h). 0-100km/h in a bit under 20s :D

    I had a 1987 1L 205 and if you went over 60 it felt like it would fall apart. It took an age to get up any speed. Ultimately I crashed it!

    My very first car! I kid you not this was the slowest car I have ever driven,
    I think it was rated as 45bhp when new so you'd be lucky to find 1 with 40 left now.
    my mates 1.0 micra was like a ferrari compared to it!
    I drove a 1.1 205 and it was a lot better, don't waste your time with the 1.0....

    it bearly does 35 in 3rd gear haha !
    i cant see it doing over about 65 !
