Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm almost positive this never went ahead.
Anyone have more info as to why it was scrapped? I'm guessing it was because Maradona pulled out because I remember he was supposed to visit Old Trafford around the same time to watch Utd v Wigan and that never happened.
All I could find about it was this: http://www.86rematch.com/

    From wiki

In May 2006, Maradona agreed to take part in UK's Soccer Aid (a program to raise money for Unicef). Maradona scored a penalty but it was too late to save the match which England won 2-1

Surprised they never made much of it in England. Though it doesnt mention it was actually the 86 sides who played each other.

It was postponed due to the postal strike in Britain and the organisers could not guarantee getting tickets out on time. The 2006 event was a different thing altogether. More here.

Did England66 similarily ever give a rematch to their German counterparts? Seems only fair considering they were the ones doing the robbing that time around.
