Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi. I am with Meteor and want to get a nice phone but as anyone with Meteor knows they only stock low end phones as prepay.

If I buy an O2 Speakeasy phone can I unlock it so I can use my Meteor SIM on it and how do I do this ?

There's a sticky with unlocking questions here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=304061

O2 will unlock the handset for you once you've topped up by €150 in credit. Some phones such as the Nokia 6070 / Nokia 6230i can be unlocked by code generated on the web. Other phones like the Sony Ericsson K800i can be unlocked using special cables in unlocking shops for €20 or €30.

The Sony Ericsson K800i, can also be unlocked by code, ciaranfo. I got an unlock code for mine from Vodafone about a month ago and no cables were used.

every phone can be unlocked by a code supplied by the network. He was talking about getting it unlocked without calling the network

Aha. My bad. Saw O2 mentioned at the beginning of the sentence and thought he was saying that the K800i couldn't be.

Nothing to see here, move along people.
