Marseille welcome back Julien Rodriguez after suspension and they are boosted by the return to fitness of captain Lorik Cana.

Mamadou Niang is again expected to lead the attack meaning Djibril Cisse will have to content himself with a place on the bench.

Besiktas have a defensive injury crisis on their hands ahead of the visit of Marseille with Lamine Diatta, Serdar Kurtulus, Ibrahim Kas and Gokhan Zan all missing.

Mehmet Yozgatli is also unavailable for Besiktas coach Ertugrul Saglam as they look to erase the memory of the 8-0 drubbing at Liverpool.

Marseille look good for no worse than 1 point, so Liverpool must win.

Jesus Shahktar are a disgrace. The diving and time wasting is unbelievable. They've not impressed on the ball at all either, completely different team from a few months ago. 2 Celtic defenders gone off injured. Kennedy injured his knee and you'd have to worry about his career after something like that. I don't know what it is with McGeady's crosses. They've led to about 5 sitters missed this season.

Agree with you about the Shaktar tactics but disagree about their passing on the ball. I thought for the 1st 35 minutes Shaktar were much better than Celtic. It almost felt they would score every time they went forward. Obviously a combination of their ability and our inability to defend.

Great goal from Jarosik and what a bloody miss 2 minutes later :eek:
