Yeah, I know I did wrong and I accepted my fate.

I was caught speeding on September 21st and paid my fine no problem.

I got a letter yesterday saying that 2 points have been applied to my license for a speeding offence committed on September 14th. :D

It's good to see they have their paperwork sorted.

least theyre some way close with you -my boyfriend got caught speeding in March 05 and got a letter out to acknowledge receipt of his payment ( in spetember!! ) and to advise the points were added in August 05! Only came off in August this year then...

and when he asked the local copshop about it he got a ''shrug, sure i donno how the computer system works up in Dublin.....''

    Good call Garda...

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Respect for accepting the fine / points without moaning. Hope I'll be able to do the same when my time comes :)

Any delay of more than a week or so is disgraceful, but you're lucky enough there's only a two month gap. Most people I've heard of had to wait longer...

They will usually leave a gap of at least two months between the notification of the points and actually applying them, this is supposed to be so that if you were on ten points and got two more, you would not unknowingly be driving around while technically disqualified.

i had to wait 6 months to get mine

as long as you didnt get caught on the 14th of september unknown to you and another 2 points are on the way for the september 21st offence!
