    FIRST EVER ALL FEMALE LINE UP!!


    Thursday 29th November

    “Live Music, Djs and an Exhibition from Dublin’s finest female performers and artists”


    Kettle is very proud to announce its first ever all female line up taking place on Thursday the 29th of November as part of The Globe and Ri Ra’s relaunch. Live acts in The Globe include hip hop rapping and singing sensation Ophelia (Fringe Festival / Sunday Roast) and her full band as well as electronic duo, Julie Dillon (lead singer and lyricist of jazz/funk/soul 7 piece band “The Company”) and Nicky Halliday (classically trained vocals/violin and electronic producer) who have combined their musical backgrounds to create a unique live performance with soulful vocals, energetic beats and dark undertones

    Djs in Ri Ra include Halfdutch (Radio Na Life) providing her unique style of reggae, hip hop, funk and soul, and Alex Donald founder of the radio show “None More Black” on Vertex FM, an online radio station based in London. An exhibition from various Dublin based female artists will take place in The Globe from Monday the 26th of November. This unique event showcases Dublin’s finest female artists and performers. This very special Kettle celebration is certainly not to be missed!!

    Art @ The Globe: An Exhibition From Dublin Based Female Artists

    Monday 26th – Sunday 31st November:


    This show case of work comprises of twelve female artists working in the medium of Painting, Photography, drawing and print. Lisa Flynn and Paula Naughton form part of the collective ‘Formation’ and are based in London, recently they showed at Monster truck Gallery, Francis Street,

    Fiona Chambers, Anne Hendrick and Lucy Sheridan form part of a collaborative ‘Scissors Cuts Paper’ and have been working together in Dublin since 2004, their medium ranger from Print to Painting. Painters like Michelle Consdine, Sheila Rennick are practicing artists in Dublin both having numerous group and solo exhibitions under their belts.
    Paula Henigan is printer and a member of the Black Church Studio’s, Temple Bar. Frances Fagan is also a Printer.

    Sarah Quigley and Jenny Spain are among recent graduates of D.I.T and have focused on drawing and Print. Mary Callan’s is a graduate of fashion from St Martins, London and specialises in illustration.
