Does the CD not provide the answers also?

They are provided in the 3rd section of the book.

Feel free to post any queries here.

i found the section which prepares for the test eventually, i just thought it was a strange way to learn something new.

for the truck test i have never read the information before and need to learn it by taking an exam. the section teaches you by asking a question and giving 4 possible answers. it then tells you the right answer.

why not just publish the rules? i can't find them anywhere.

    thanks for you time

Is there not a way of learning the questions on the CD where you do different topics and check the answers as you go along. If you need an explanation of why the answer is correct, does it not give that option?

If you need stuff to read about drivers' hours (a small portion of the theory), then if you can't find any Irish stuff, have a look for UK stuff as it's all the same EU rules anyway.

The rules of the road are pratically the same.

Many of the truck questions relate to the vehicle's dynamics which wouldn't be relevant to a car but are not 'rules' as such.

Examples would be awareness of the vehicles weight, height, higher centre of gravity, air brakes, retarder, dropping a trailer, effects of wind, restricted vision etc.

There are, of course regulations relating to driving hours, maximum weights, maximum heights, overhangs, speed limits, licences, dangerous goods, parking restrictions etc.
