    Just ten years ago Braun employed 1300 in Carlow. That is down to under 500 now and headin towards 300.
    Also hundreds gone at Celtic linen and Irish sugar. No wonder 5000 must now commute from Carlow, mainly to Dublin. Hope this will be the first of many for Carlow and the sth east. And a university would be an immense boast.

    The company also bought the IDA park so there wont be any other companies going in there. Id say the IDA couldnt wait to be rid of it.
