Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hello all, I am wishing to connect two networks at two different houses, wireless of course.

The houses are maybe 50 meters apart in a straight line, while cat5 is not out of the question, its awkward.

I can pick up Signal from the both houses current Wifi networks pretty much in the middle of the two houses.

I want to put an antenna onto house number ones router, and connect to it via a wireless card in a PC/laptop, Getting rid of house number twos router.

The signal has to get through thick walls, its a old house and a dead spot for mobiles.

I am guessing a Directional antenna would be best? There are some trees in the way, and the house that will have the router is maybe 5 meters higher.

Any help would be great guys

    Thanks

Would this antenna be storng enough doe what I want?

If you put a directional (panel) antenna on house 1 you will have to put the client in house 2 directly in the beam of this antenna. Especially close to the source this beam can be quite small.
If you want to provide overal cover in house 2 I would suggest putting an omi-directional or sector antenna on house 1. That way the whole of house 2 will fall within the coverage of the antenna.
