    Any nominations must have a European release date between December 26th 2006 and December 25th 2007
    The Orange Box does NOT count as one game. If you were planning on voting for that, please vote for either TF2, Portal or Episode 2 instead.

    Half Life 2 Episode 2 probably slightly surpasses Bioshock, so that will be my choice (unless Portal counts as a choice, which I really don't think it can)

    there are other technically better fps' (crysis), some other more intense ones (cod4) but tf2 will, imo, stand the test of time more then the others...

    Well, it's not a shooter, which is an integral part of an FPS. It's a puzzle game, but sadly, there's no puzzle category.

    You have a portal gun, and you shoot portals.

    It is first person. There is shooting. YOU even get shot at.

    no cause you dont aim in Mario and the game mechanics are not designed around the weapon, they are designed around the progress from platform to platform to reach a goal using a variety of items/moves/mini games...which is why its a platformer.


    BUT


    that is an argument for the games forum not game awards, if you wish to continue to discuss it I will take the posts in question and form a new thread, PM me and it will be done.


    Until the general consensus can argue logically that Portal does not fit as a nominee I will approve of its nomination.


    BTW My nomination is for Bioshock.
