Four references enough for 1500 word essay?

    Three books and a journal as refs for a 1st year history essay. What do you think?

    Probably not going to to change it now. Just looking for reassurance I guess!

    once there was no lower limit on the references you wont have a problem

    I used to only ever use 2 and I got by fine.

    It depends on the quality of the essay overall.

    Once for a Physical geography essay I used 18 different references :) Some of them were for just trivial stuff just to make it look better. It did, I got an A !

    What the fudge? That would mean one reference every 100 words including the reference would would be about 20-50 so your essay itself would only be about 600 words? That's insanity.

    Yep and it's a reflective one so you need to ramble about an event too.

    In the end i talked about three different reflective cycles, had three references in about 50 words.

    And i somehow, god knows how, got 12 references in.

    It's advanced radiographic practice.
