Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I toyed with the idea of getting in SKY just to get SKY+ but there seems to be alternative options available out there. My current set up is ... aerial in attic for local channels, Sky box (no sky subscription) for free channels and setanta (i do subscribe to setanta) and i also have another sat box, I would like my new device to record programs/pause live TV and while recording a movie i could go back a watch it from the start (timeshift I think, or timeslip not sure which is which), I have looked on amazon and they seem to do devices that do this but they wont deliver to ireland ... do these work here and is there any way to get it delivered here. Do dixons or currys do anything similar. I bonus would be a DVD burner ...
So to recap i think I am looking for a Hard drive recorder that can accept analog and digital signals.
Also i think I am in an area that can pick up RTEs digital broadcasts so would this magical device need multiple tuners.
    Thanks for reading

Yea , i am going to unsubscribe from SKY+ and SKY altogether ad i'm looking for a freeview alternative to SKY+ . Not worried about losing sky 1,2,3 but i love EPG, live pause, dual recording and series link etc. Any ideas ? Is EPG available without subscription to SKY or Virgin or NTL etc.?

I too am in the market for a new DVD recorder with HDD because I can't get Sky where I'm living. I'm pretty clueless so have been reading through all the posts here - thanks for all the information.

Just want to get one thing straight in my head before I make a purchase - is it correct that there are currently no DVD recorders with HDD that let you record one digital channel while watching another digital channel?

    Thanks a lot!
