    Hi,

I was considering booking myself on one of these course and was just wondering has anyone attended a similiar on before and if so what did you think of it i.e was it worthwhile or a waste of money.

As a member service, Triathlon Ireland are offering Age Groupers looking to boost their performance this year the opportunity to participate in a series of Age Group training camps. The series of three weekends will be every two months, starting from January, and leading to an 'A' race in June or July. This would be especially suitable for people taking part in the Age Group Triathlon World Championships in Vancouver, but would be of great benefit for anybody looking to get the most from their training hours this year.
At each camp people will be divided into ability groups, individual goals will be discussed. You'll take part in field tests to determine training paces and zones. There will be limited opportunity to be Sports Tested by an experienced Sports Scientist. At subsequent camps you'll be able to use these tests to asses if your training is getting the results you want. Very experienced Level 3 coaches will then give you two full days of training sessions, both classroom based and practical. In the early sessions video analysis will be used to correct technique faults, and each participant will be given their DVD to take with them, along with a two monthly training program. The following two camps will build on the work of the first camp and get you in the best form and allow you to make the most efficient use of your time.

Read on for a full schedule of the first camp, and for details of how to book your place. These weekends are only open to Triathlon Ireland members.

A detailed schedule is given below.

For further details, please email agegroup@triathlonireland.com. Places are limited, a deposit secures a place.

If you are half way serious about your training then it would be excellent. I believe that there are a huge number of applicants and a waiting list now.

I can't see a cost there at all?

Is it free to Triathlon Ireland members only?

The cost is between €100 to €140 per person.. They won't have a definitive figure until they know how many will attend
