Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Real vs Racing SS3
    Espanyol vs Barca SSN ?

Barca derby is always a cracker and i expect espanyol to win easily, Tamudo and De La Pena always play well in this game.

The Espanyol Barça game isn't really a derby in the true sense of the word. In fact, there really isn't that much rivalry between clubs in Catalonia. It's more Catalonia against the rest or more simply Madrid. It's nowhere near as big as say Barça Madrid.

The chance to leapfrog Barça into third place should be more of a motivation for Espanyol than gaining any bragging rights. Barça have been poor away from home and are missing some key players for tonight. Henry is out for this game, which should see Bojan starting as the main striker. Ronaldinho and Messi will have to take responsibility here if Barcelona are to win. I think Iniesta will be moved back to the centre of midfield with Gudjohnsen taking a place on the bench. His days at Barça are numbered and I wouldn't be surprised to see him moving on in January.

I can see this being a 2-2 draw.

    Should be a fine match.
The reason its on SSN is probably so Virgin viewers in the UK cant see it.

Something going on in the end racing shooting into fans climbing all over the seats, cant see what but commentators havent said anything about it

Racing should hav about 4 by now Real are awful at the back but lethal on the break.

3-1 now if racing had a striker could ahve easily won. real have loads and scored with them.

Barca next, tough day 5 games in a row :)

Great run by Messi down the right cut the ball back across the box to Iniesta.

Some shock results in Spain this weekend with Sevilla losing 1-0 in Almería, leaving them in 14th place in the league. Villarreal were beaten 2-0 at Valladolid and Valencia slipped even further with a 3-0 defeat at home to Athletic Bilbao.

As poor as they've been, they were 5 points behind Madrid and 10 points ahead of Athletic coming into this weekend. They're still in 6th place and only 4 points behind Barça in second. They were also playing at home against a fairly poor Bilbao side. And in case that  was aimed at me, this was Athletic's first win at the Mestalla in 20 years. So yeah, it is a bit of an upset.

By doing this millions of people with Freeview saw it aswell. Plus the fact that the regular Sky Sports channels were all Football First and other live sporting events.
