Ok there are lots of places where you can buy electrical goods, spare sockets, light switches etc but some places offer better value compared to others.
Electrical wholesalers typically only deal with people within the trade, but they dont tend to ask at the counter TBH.

Anyway some suppliers to follow, please add any decent lighting suppliers and low energy lighting supplier that you recommend, these guys pop up all the time and there always seems to be somewhere better to buy CFLs and LEDs etc.

    Electrical Wholesalers--
like many things in life, the person you are dealing with at the time can make a huge difference on where you recommend. So here are the main contenders without opinions, I'll add to this, if I leave anything out remind me.

New wholesaler in old T O'Reillys in Santry called Trade Electrical.

  • Registered Users Posts: 71 ✭✭FMartinp

It's a new branch of a large independent wholesaler from down the country and is being run by a few ex T O'Reilly lads. Seems to be doing ok any time I've been in there. Cable is well priced and they've a good range of products.

Hey all - been away for a while! Trade Electric in Santry (TEG) are a seriously good outfit and I'd use them a lot. Irish company with a number of branches and the lads in Santry are all ex T-OReilly lads with lots of experience.

They've recently opened a new branch in Stillorgan, next to Baumann's Hardware store & the Stillorgan shopping centre, which is handy for when working on the Southside, as getting up to Sandyford can be a nightmare.
