Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I burn MP3s from my PC to a DVD+RW and play them back through my DVD player. Recently when ejecting the DVD from the PC the PC crashes with blue screen saying computer has been shut down for safety reasons etc. There are no clues given as to why this happens. I am unaware of any changes that might be causing this.

    Anyone any clues ??

Sounds like a bad cd drive
You can try a few things before giving up on that drive though.
    1. To solve hang on boot
Move the CDROM behind the hard drive on the boot order
    2. To solve freezes on drive reads
    Update the driver from manufacturer
    or
Change the windows read ahead method

But again, sounds like need new CDROM drive.
So there you have it, a couple of different ideas on how to try to debug the problem and a likely solution or you can replace the drive.
    Good luck to you!
