Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gonna piss a few off, but we're looking at getting a flag together on the Spurs board plus non-boards heads, Ireland flag + club badge plus maybe some writing.

Any suggestions for anyone in ireland who does good quality flags?

I don't think it's that hard to do once you have your own big flag. My mate's aunt did one up for us a few years ago that we bring to away games. Don't ask what's on it, quite embarrasing in retrospect. If you're interested in saving yourself a few bob let me know and I'll find out how it was done. Think it involved some old newspaper and an iron.

Don't agree with writing on any tricolor.

And putting a Spurs logo on one is just :o

I think so, I remember Guinness had to pull a load of flags they were giving out during WC2002. But would be pretty heavy-handed if they arrested everyone with a flag at a match

Why not a big union jack with a small Irish flag Israeli flag and English flag around a big Spurs crest in the middle, maybe put boards.ie supporters club on it.

We considered going with something like "the Eircom League is a load of old sh1te so we're gloryhunting on tour 07/08".

    Doesn't fit.

If you were gonna suggest anything I'd have thought it would be a pint of John Smith's.

Don't see the problem with it myself, your teams your team, regardless of where they play. I follow NY Knicks, ACT Brumbies, Liverpool, Leinster Rugby, I've even got a new found softspot for Ricky Hatton...

Is it really illegal to write on an Irish tricolour? Never heard that before.

Here's the Official Government Protocol on the use of the National Flag.

Page 9, Section 17 is the relevent passage.

I'd argue Page 4 is more relevant:
The following guidelines are to assist persons in giving due respect to the National Flag. Observance of the guidelines contained in this booklet is a matter for each individual because there are no statutory requirements.

There are no statutory requirements for good manners either yet most of us observe them.

well done, anything less moronic to add?

Back on topic, The Leinster Supporters club got batches of Flags from http://teamcarflagireland.com/ maybe give them a shout and see if they can do the custom job. The flags they got look decent enough quality + pole. It's the thin material but looks pretty good imo.
