They just did a piece on going shooting in Eastern Europe and the tone of it was that you can go their and shoot "guns used in crimes". Supposedly criminals are going their to "hone their deadly skills"

"The Glock and the Magnum" are some of the most deadly weapons ever invented it seems....

    Right now.
Going on about Glock pistols and Magnum pistols
Mixing up .45 and .44 Magnum.

The usual misinformed stuff we get from the mainstream media, I'm afraid.

Like Gerry Ryan described semi auto guns as you pull and hold the trigger and you can empty the magazine in seconds. He did a story on the exact same topic 2 months ago. Pat is behind the times.

It is no wonder that the public are against us legal shooters and I would reckon some misinformed super could have heard that on the radio and as a result honest people get penalised.

well thats all true, but to be fair to gerry and pat and Co.(not including joe duffy here for obvious reasons ) but it's the scumbags that are giving shooters a bad name by giving them stories to talk about involving misuse of firearms.

If they're gonna do a bit on scumbags travelling to where ever to shoot then let them say and do that.

But, if they're gonna do a bit on a shooting sport they should say exactly that.

I heard a small bit and the poor Czech fella at the range was doing his best in broken english to knock through the thick reporters head that shooting is a SPORT. Talk about LEADING questions, worst kind of journalism.

Mr I'mRightAndYou'reObviouslyWrong was having none of it  More nonsense from RTE.

As per usual lads, a bit of truth and a bit of poetic licence..Tabloid owners have made a fortune using this method for ages.. . Once again, a gun is an inert object it's only the intention and actions of the shooter that are legal or illegal. You can hardly blame a Chech business for the actions of local scumbags over here. If the muppets snorting coke in Ireland stopped tomorrow there would be less gang murders the day after for the simple reason that there'd be less spoils to fight over... . THE GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, IT'S THE CRIMINAL TRADE THAT USES GUNS AS A TOOL.
