Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I recently changed from wired to wireless for my internet in my room and installed a conceptronic 54g wireless card in my pc.
I have eircom 1mb internet with the standard netopia wireless router that comes with it.

Now when I can get it connected it says the signal stregth is 'excellent', yet every so often the connection just disconnects, and also the speed of the connection has dropped alot from what it was when i had it wired up.
Now the router isn't that far away, surely it wouldn't say the signal strength is excellent or very good if that was the problem.

Is there anything i can do to fix this? Why does it keep disconnecting?

    please help, thanks

I'll fire out the usual reasons: could be due to interference by cordless phones, wireless video senders, microwaves, etc.

Try unplugging any such devices in your house and see if it makes any difference.

If not, try changing the wireless channel used by your router.
