i mean do jobs accept you for who you are ?

or is the only way to make money by escorting ?

id like to hear from transgendered people themselfs if possible

Where on earth did you get the idea that the only job for those who are transitioning is to be an 'escort' ?

Many multinational companies have policies for dealing with the transitioning of an employee and there are many work places that dont' have a problem with how people dress when they are not in work or with them eventually shifting from male to female atire in work.

As for looking for peoples stories you may find more in specfic on line communities.

Louise here lives as a woman and if I'm not entirely mistaken works in a bank or insurance, some manner of office job anyways!

Now if you're talking about drag queens, thats a different story but as far as I know they get about €100 per show.

I haven't heard of any transsexual escorts, but I'm sure they're out there somewhere... *shrug*

Am wondering whether this poster is simply ill informed or disingenuous...or worse........ Far stronger words come to mind but in order not to add petrol to the fire I'll be euphemistic ..I seriously question the motivation of 21 Stone....Is it a genuine question or one intended to cause offence or amusement amongst small minds?. How many Transsexuals have you met?....And why do you take such an interest in the Escort enterprise?.

The first citizen of the famous city of Cambridge in the U.K is a Transsexual. There is a Transsexual M.P. in the Italian parliament. In various countries there are Transsexual Professors....Transsexual Religous Ministers, soldiers ,Aircraft Pilots and even Gender Reassignement Surgeons!...... The Women's Euopean Golf Tour contains a Transsexual participant..There was a Transsexual World Mountain Bike champion

Ireland is a challenging place for Transgendered people in the workplace.....but Transsexuals are human beings...with skills and talents on par with the population at large.....they have talents that can and do benefit many employers.....employers far removed from the Escort Industry!

I was taught to pity those who don't understand rather than resent them.....................

this wasnt meant to upset anybody ok

i met 2 on a well known dating site ( notice the term dating site ) well should i say they contacted me and i was curious at first and wanted to meet up and they both wanted to charge me ok so thats where i got the escort thing

plus i know one from here on this site who is well known and is an escort . im fully aware that transgendered people are humans with emotions and feelings etc , it was a simple question as the few that i have met through dating site and in general wanted to charge you to be with them so it was an honest question not meant to cause hurt or to annoy people

plus ireland is so anti this and that i was wondering how there treated in the work place

From what I've heard, they seemed to be treated okay!

Ireland is that anti this at all, certain pockets of people are vocal about being anti TS that is all.

As for escorts on dating sites that has happened to a few people i know of later.
    You should report thier accounts.

Escorts on dating sites? yes I'd say that it is not uncommon...but I suspect such people would cover a broad cross section of society.....and 2 Transsexual escorts does not a summer make.....or mean that it is anything other than rare.... As I said most Transsexuals are as skilled as the average population...and capable of as much

Would you not have just asked the persons who wanted to charge you, how much they charge?? :)

Perhaps you need to start using classier 'dating' sites.

What a silly question and amazingly narrow minded stereotype, I nor any of my other TS friends are escorts. We're all either in college or working in very sucessful careers (one is a lecturer in Trinity, I'm a senior software engineer, one manages a hotel and the list goes on). You meet two that are on a dating website (of all places  ) and assume that it applies to all of us? You also seem to be under the assumption that our jobs are aware of our TS status. What makes you think we even have to tell them? Alot of us present well enough that there isn't even a suspicion.

do people not read at all ??

id say people in job already know as easily spotted

Another stereotype, you seem to have a lot of them. I suppose you also think we all have huge hands and big Adams apples with voices like dockers too? Well we don't, alot of us pass really well which it would seem is evident by the fact you have to ask such a silly question, has it not occured to you that the reason you've never seen any in the workplace is exactly because it's not so easily spotted?

I'm inclined to question the true intention of this thread after just receiving a PM from the OP, and I quote:
you any pictures to let me see how well u look then ???

Apparently he also subscribes to the stereotype that just because we're TS we must also be easy :rolleyes::rolleyes:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 100 ✭✭21stone

well you must all be liars because if you show what i wrote in pm they will see i apologised if i came accross as a stereotype etc and never said they sluts , actually im gonna post up the pm's ok

i suppose im curious as ive never met a ts / shemale whatever you prefer to be called , face to face

you any pictures to let me see how well u look then ??? all innocent

    she wrote this..................................

Are you for real? go look somewhere else for your w*nkfodder, I don't have to prove myself to you or anyone else

    I wrote this ...............................

not asking to prove urself or a **** fodder smile.gif

simple question , no need to be rude

so where in this am i subscribed to being stereotypical ???
