    can anyone tell me what will i be paying on road tax for this car from Jan as I am getting one then(1.8l). Have not heard anything about it in budget.thanks

    From what I can see tax is unaffected you pay for 1.8L

    Only VRT would change based on emissions

    However motor tax system will be changed from July to be based on CO2 so your tax may change for better then; perhaps you should just tax 6 months for now and see

    Road tax is going up by 9% odd.

    Current VRT concession is being continued, BUT an additional €2500 refund is coming for cars registered after 01/07/08.

    I think from July 08 Hybrids,flexifuel etc will be VRT'ed at the appropriate CO2 rating and then €2500 knocked off.
