Which is fastest in a drag race?

    Just watched Top Gear and they had a race between a Aston Martin DB9, 450bhp, top speed 186mph (300km/h), 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds, a Bentley Continental GT, 603 bhp, top speed 202 mph (325 km/h), 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and a Mercedes SL65 AMG, 612bhp, top speed 155mph (250km/h), 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds. They had them on a standard 1/4ml drag race. Question is, which one came first? Remember the DB9 is the lightest, the Bentley has the fastest top speed, and the SL the highest bhp.

    The winner gets a Santa Hat - Only kidding! :cool:

    NAh, they made the rookie mistake of filling the HUGE boot with shopping. The extra weight added .1 secs to the time and it was beat into 2nd.

    Didn't see it but definitely not the Aston Martin. They're for whimps :D

    As for the other two - the MB is lighter than the Bentley afaik and has more torque. I wouldn't have thought the speed limiter is a bottleneck on a quarter mile. So I say the Merc wins!

    The merc was indeed the fastest, the DB9 came next then the Bentley, in fact James said he thought he had left the handbrake on! LOL But in the same episode they showed that 8 tug o war blokes could beat the merc! So they said if you want a car with the highest bhp, get 8 blokes.....where do I sign? (for lady drivers of course!) :D
