I got my tongue pierced recently and at the time was advised to go back to a studio in a few weeks to get the bar shortened - just wondering if this is necessary or can I go ahead and buy the jewellery myself and change it?

    go back to the studio
always go back to the studio

they need to check if it's settled properly and what length you need next cuz sometimes the swelling doesn't go down that quickly

the jewellery you have in now is longer than it should be because your tongue isnt as swollen. go back to the piercers, they will give you the correct length bar for your tongue. easier on you in the long run
